The campus of Cornerstone University is located in the North East Citizen Action neighborhood and is home to a diverse group of students. This campus may be small but it has a beautiful nature setting and gorgeous architecture. Another location with amazing architecture is Frederik Meijer Gardens located just down the road from Cornerstone University. Frederik Meijer Gardens is known for their beautiful gardens that showcase a number of different items like sculptures, waterfalls, floral arrangements, and so much more. The highlight of the year happens when Frederik Meijer Gardens opens their butterfly exhibit to the public. Every March and April, the tropical butterfly exhibit features a dazzling displace of more than 50 species of butterfly as they hatch and begin their life.

With so many great things to do in the North East Citizen Action, the area offers some great schools for children to attend. The Kent Career Tech Center offers students the opportunity to specialize in specific programs to help prepare them for the future. This tech center is designed to prepare students for future careers, college, internships, and many other options. Other schools in the area include Knapp Charter Academy, North Point Christian Middle/High School, North Hills Classical Academy, and Plymouth Christian High School.
