Comstock Park

Located north of Grand Rapids, Comstock Park Public Schools are committed to teaching students to use a higher level of thinking rather than memorizing the material. A recent transition to "thinking maps" has provided Comstock Park Public Schools with an innovative new way of teaching students how to be successful in their future. The athletic department has created a great way for students to learn how to work together as a team to achieve a common goal. Teaching children how to work as a team at a young age helps them in the future when they get out of high school and find themselves in the working world.

Comstock Park isn't just home to a public school system, you can find some other great things to do within the school district. Visit Dwight Lydell Park for some fun outdoor enjoyment in the city. With 39-acres dedicated to outdoor enjoyment, you can play at the park or even enjoy a picnic during the summer time. For another fun outdoor activity, stop by Fifth Third Ballpark to watch the West Michigan White Caps play some baseball. There are always fun events, hot dog specials, and appliances races happening that you won't want to miss! Next to Fifth Third Ballpark is AJ'S Fun Center where you can race go-karts, play a round of mini-golf, or test your luck at the arcade.
