Cedar Springs

Home of the Red Hawks, Cedar Springs Public Schools is a community that includes several elementary schools that join into one large class beginning with middle school. At Cedar Springs, students are encouraged to be independent thinkers but still maintain an inclusive atmosphere for one another. The fine arts program is structured for all grades to enjoy taking the stage as they showcase their talents to the public. Grades K-12 are encouraged to participate in clay projects or the musical section of the fine arts program. Once they have reached high school, they are given the opportunity to be part of the drama club where they can participate in plays, musicals, and technical theatre operations throughout the school year.

Cedar Springs is located north of Grand Rapids which makes for an easy trip into the big city for an event. Downtown Cedar Springs features some great architecture and the popular Cedar Springs Brewing Company. At this brewery, you can find yummy food and freshly made craft beer. For a history lesson, you can visit the Cedar Springs Historical Museum to learn about Cedar Springs as it has developed throughout the years. Cedar Springs may be a smaller town but there is still many great things to do there and a short trip south will take you into the heart of Rockford or downtown Grand Rapids.
